Yet to receive tracking info for the phone ordered 10/13 but could see IMEI in the account and got a new number.

Someone earlier mentioned that they got the phone next day after ordering. So you may be able to use the Metro number. Else, you would need some eligible number even if it is not the same you mentioned during ordering.

Samsung A16 is good but sluggish. Consolation is better OS support than Moto phones.
I place the order, did the id verify and gave them a valid number for the port-in. But since the port-in won't happen till I get the phone, I'm possibly screwed because the number will expire in 3 days. Anybody had experience with how total wireless handles it if the promised port-in isn't an option? I'm fine with a new number, it was a metropcs disposable one had for only 1 month (and already extended, hence the 3 days remaining).
Hack that used to work is to activate with a new number while the phone is in transit and not delivered yet.

The Samsung A36, also free is the better phone with more than double the support of Moto. I went to a Total dealer and was out the door at $49.50. Excellent speakers and call quality and very good cameras.
A36 is quite capable but compared to 2025 Stylus, it likely is better in OS Support. Agree that it's better than basic Moto G or Power variants.
Overall, 2025 Stylus or Edge are a bit better than A36.
