Probably the best deal on a laptop in the market right now. Best is subjective, but given the specs and what it has to offer, this is indeed the BEST. After watching tons of videos on CoPilot PCs in the past three months, multiple visits to Best Buy, Walmart, etc, I was waiting for this price drop (even lower than the original 599 from this past summer). This A14 has the best combination of everything that a new laptop with Snapdragon processor/RAM/battery/sound system combo has to offer. Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 has its new 13 inch and the previous iteration of 13.8, Dell has its XPS 13 9345, HP has its Omnibook X 14, Acer has its Swift 14.......I worked with all of them in store, cranked up brightness, picked them up, opened up browsers, played videos, you name it.

Yes, this does not have the X Elite (and OP mistakenly listed 32GB of ram). Nevertheless, if you were on the fence on a CoPilot PC, jump on this. It has insane battery life, lighter than probably your bowl of soup at dinner time, brilliant visuals (I have seen it in store), and very, very quiet. It is a crazy price. Some open box, excellent conditions are going for $450 odd.
Unless compatibility issues (the whole X86 architecture issue) makes this unusable, I cannot understand why these are being returned. My spouse has the Inspiron 14 5441 with Snapdragon X, and I had zero issues working on it

this whole lineup has qc issues, that's what the return are. there is a pretty serious coil whine present while plugged in, it whines alongside the trackpad movement.

It's 16GB as mentioned in the title. 32GB was a typo in the description, which has now been fixed.

I went with the $599 Ryzen 7 deal at Walmart a couple of weeks back, NIB, and have not looked back.

Going through that famous cash back website, BB has some money back whereas eBay doesn't (1% is a gallon and half of gas though).
Don't forget to buy it with Chase CCs to extend another year of warranty

Just the Asus lineup or Snapdragons? I didn't come across anything like that at PCMag, notebook review, Lisa's reviews on YT, or in any other review. Can you share?

I own this device. The Zebrieski Beige color is prone to smudging — many of us are noticing these permanent dark brown marks appearing mainly along the sides of the laptop. Mine actually came out of the box with them. I believe this cosmetic defect is contributing to the high return rate and, ultimately, the recent price drop. (I even called Best Buy to price-match the drop)

So, the main issue here is purely cosmetic. If you can overlook that, the price is pretty slick for what you're getting.

My Personal Pros and Cons
(For reference, my daily driver is a MacBook Pro.)

PROS:
  • Battery life gives my MacBook a run for its money.
  • Lightest 13-inch laptop on the market; everything else feels heavy now, even the MacBook Air.
  • OLED screen looks great, even at its lowest brightness.
  • Price

CONS:
  • Text fringing: a common OLED issue. You can't help but notice the rainbow effect around text. especially smaller black text against a white background. I eventually got used to it, but it makes me wish the resolution were just a bit higher for reading and writing.

I just picked up 2 separate from Bestbuy. Both came with black smudges over the front and area around the trackpad out of the sealed boxes. Looking online it looks like this is common.
