Grey and "For Mac" versions are also the same price. "For Mac" version is identical but doesn't include the dongle connectivity option, so best to stick with the regular Grey or black models.

The receiver this comes with is USB-C, so if you want to use it with a computer that doesn't have bluetooth, you need a spare USB-C port. I can definitely see that being an issue for folks who want to use this with older desktops that have tons of USB-A ports but only a few USB-C.
USB C-to-A converters are available on Amazon for $1-3/ea. Good to have a few on hand.

Yes, the old recyled device must be in-store but fine print says coupon code can be used instore or online

*Must recycle item in store to receive coupon. Coupon can be used in store or online for purchase of new Logitech item(s).

It doesn't even work as a wired mouse. The USB C is for charging only and if this mouse is like the previous version, it'll go months between charges.
It'll function as a wired mouse with a usb-c charging cable. I've been using it that way with the 2, 3, 3s, and now 4. Still need to be paired normally.
Not correct for the MX Master 3. Cable is charging only - no connectivity.

They all need to be paired either through the receiver or BT. I'm just saying the mouse will still work with a charging cable plugged in thus eliminating the need to charge the battery. Basically the mouse can function as wired or wireless. A pretty cool feature.

Yes, when using the receiver and the charging cable, it'll take up two usb ports, but that shouldn't be a problem given there are plenty of usb ports from the motherboard.

OK, true enough, but if you can't install any software or peripherals on a work or other PC, you can't use this mouse. That was the point of my post. Seems like a dumb oversight by Logitech to me, but...it's how it is.

The top line on the coupon that I received when I recycled an item is that it can be used In Store Only. I could not use it online when I tried. Hope you have better luck.

I recycled something about 5 minutes ago and asked about it as I had the same question. The CS agent stated that they have to select either in-store or online when generating the coupon. I was buying in-store this time so the coupon I received didn't include an online code, however her statement made me believe it is possible if requested. The cashier didn't ask and must have defaulted to in-store when I recycled something else previously. hth

You found someone far more skilled in the process than I did. Had to call in a manager to even get the coupon printed in the first place. I needed to escape as soon as I could.

So yea I did have to ask for the coupon for online specifically which was all good. But unfortunately, the coupon code excluded the Mx master 4 just like in store. That sucks

I doubt it. The way it reads, you bring in your old junk device, they give you a coupon, then you buy the new Logitech device.
After speaking with the manager, I was told either I get the discount (25% off) or the recycling credit (20% off) but not both. Also, my store does not have the MX 4 in stock.

Have you tried G60x series from Logitech or similar mice from Razor Basilisk? Those are good and a bit lighter as well.
