I'm between this and the 3s. Considering used options
A used 3s is around $200, but only 128 gb. And searching the Slick Deals history, the brand new 3s was sold at this price tag once or twice this year.
Now I don't know if it's really worth paying $160 + taxes for:
- 4x More storage (that is really important!)
- A little more quality (but not really important for me)
- 2 years warranty (but I think it is rare to have a problem with one of these)
At least now, with this $360 deal, I'm not considering anything used with that price tag or higherThe difference in image quality between 3s and 3 is huge. If you have a meta shop around, I'd recommend going and checking by yourself.
I don't have any of these, but if I buy, I'd go only with 3.
1. I don't want to sign in to a meta account, at all. is that still needed here? if it is required, are there any functions that don't require it?
2. I buy my VR games on steam. is there going to be an issue using them?
I have a valve index that I haven't set up due to not having a good space for it yet, but that should be changing soon. of course, all the additional sensors are out of production so if I want more accuracy or tracking, I'm paying nearly as much for a sensor or two on the index as I would for one of these, leading me to wonder.

Brand new 3s were sold for $200 this year, with a carrying case, or Batman's game:
