I'm in the market for 2 of these, but all of our exterior power boxes (like 90% of homes around me) are in the eaves, not on the walls. It's not very clear, but I think you need a conversion kit or something? Or does Ring include that?

I had the same issue when I installed last year. I went with this (a little pricier then I hoped these kits would be) but I can vouch for it working

Thanks! That's definitely a solution, but a little bulky and awkward compared to most floodlights that work either way. I still just find it interesting that eave mounts aren't the norm, forcing a conversion kit for wall mounts. Makes me wonder if they did market research

They technically claim it can be installed in an eave/overhang situation as is, just by rotating the lights 180 degrees from normal. [ring.com]

I believe I tried this before finally getting the adapter, since I wasn't satisfied for whatever reason. I think something to do with the lights/camera angle not being ideal. Or it just looking weird.

I agree that they should have a better official solution for such a big company.
