One other feature I really like about the ugreen is that you don't need hard drives spinning up from hibernation to access UGOS since that is installed on it's own partition on the NAS (included). In Synology DSM, the hard drives have to be awake and spun up from hibernation every time you even log in to DSM since the OS is installed on the hard drives. This causes all hard drives to wake up from hibernation all the damn time (higher energy consumption and noise). This last point wouldn't be an issue for someone who needs the NAS on 24/7, but for someone like me who only uses it occasionally and almost never at night, the constant noise and power consumption from Synology is so annoying.
I really wanted to like Synology because of is mature software, but I would highly recommend ugreen to basic users at this point. UGOS is doing a great job catching up on all the software features.

One thing to keep in mind is that the non-plus models only have one DIMM slot so if you want to upgrade to 16gb, you need to buy a 16gb stick. You can't just grab another 8g.
Do you run any docker image? I wonder how well N100 processor handles the workloads.

I got the DXP4800 Plus a week ago, it's really solid. Highly recommend getting one with more drive bays than 2 so you can move data around a bit easier. It would have been more difficult to move my 3 main drives from NTFS to Btfrs without having an extra bay for swapsies.
How big are you drives?

I believe it's only upgradeable to 16gb. Reminder, this has the n100 which only supports 16.
Officially it only supports 16 but it works fine with more than that. Lots of people in the r/UgreenNASync subreddit have had no issues with 48gb in the 2800. I don't think there's really any reason to have that much in there, though.
