Bought this on sale during prime days in July for about the same price. Pretty decent shelving unit. Well packaged, kind of tedious to assemble, but solid once it's put together.

like someone said the retail is made up. however I was happy at this price last time and getting another. using it for a shoe/boot rack in our garage. I'm sure it would be ok with some mild weight but got others for that. thanks

I just measured and I have a closet that's exactly 54" wide—would you mind measuring if the outside dimensions of this are, in fact, 54" or less? Thank you!

Received mine today, tube is 7/8".
They have a very nice semi-matte finish which I prefer for any black metal in my shop.

One of the most frustrating things I've ever put together. I guess the black pieces that snap together on the groove of the metal rod to hold the shelf don't actually snap together at all (spent a lot of time trying), and the shelf pushing down on them keeps them together. Or at least that was my experience. And then the little black gear pieces that are in the holes of the shelf? Yeah those aren't actually pieces of the shelf at all they are just there for packing purposes and are discarded. Hope those bits of info help someone.
