This may be a good deal based on original price but there are many newer and better paddles at this price or less
I'm new to pockle ball. Can you give me some information of which paddle I but up to around 100
The 100$ tier paddles that are big now are Ronbus Quanta, Vatic V-sol, Vatic V-power, Luzz Cannon are all newer generation paddles that are extremely powerful and have big sweet spots. Ronbus Quanta you likely need to add weight to it. These are all pretty overkill for new players starting out you should focus on placement and fundamentals, these are more power paddles but those are the top tier of 100$, some compare them to the $200-300 paddles

If you are new to pickleball, I'd recommend Googling which paddles are good budget "all court" paddles (some mentioned in another comment), and then looking for lightly used paddles on Facebook that haven't lost grit yet. If you get more into it, you'll upgrade in a few months anyway. If you don't, you'll save some money.

the paddles you mention have always been in this price range. why mention them here.

This is a sale price for Perseus 16mm. The better paddles you don't mention but say they are in this price range then should be going for ~$70, if you apply the same % discount.

I agree with the paddles mentioned by u/baowaodao. I am not sure why anyone would be anchored to the original price for this paddle that came out a couple years ago? If you are in the market for a paddle and want to spend $100, the paddles by Ronbus, Vatic, 11Six24, etc that are released in 2025 are a better choice than this $150 paddle that came out in 2023.
That said - to each their own! If you want to buy this have fun. Pickleball is fun and this paddle will not hinder your enjoyment. But the fact is that it is not some kind of special deal.

You keep bringing up these budget paddles and keep bickering here...
These budget paddle makers release new versions without changing anything.
Looks like you fell a the new version of the budget paddle. but it is your money so you can loose all you want.
If you want to buy the budget paddle, have fun!! pickleball is fun and paddle never should not hinder your fun!!!

Two of the biggest brands are Joola and Selkirk - if you prefer those there are still many other better deals, literally today.
Joola 3s[amazon.com] in Magnus and Scorpeus (best for beginners) is $100-$130
Selkirk's SLK Halo's[amazon.com] are $120 (or $70 for slightly older model)
The original paddle here is old and outdated. It's even cheaper than the amazon price on the manufacturer website[joola.com] - where you can also very clearly see the tech listed as Gen 1. The paddle brands mentioned, as well as the larger brands if that's what you prefer, are now on Gen 3-4.
I don't really care what brand you prefer - Ronbus and 11Six24 at least also sell plenty of high end models by the way - but don't recommend paying this still high price for old tech.

The price on Amazon has come down further, with prime visa, it should be cheaper. Gen 1 is still good compared to the budget paddle you mention.
My recommendation is not to trust a budget paddle and also do not make assumption that you are getting latest tech on the budget paddle.

The Ronbus Quanta is Gen 4, $100
Vatic V-Sol is Gen 4, $100
The Selkirk (no one can argue this is a budget brand) is Gen 2, $120
The Joola 3s (same brand as you're advocating for) is Gen 3, $100-$130
Pick whatever brand you feel like, they all have newer and better paddles than this Ben John's CFS from 2023 at a lower price.

rofl. just because the budget paddle says it is Gen 4 does not mean anything.
but you are still stuck on your cheaper version. that is fine too. lol.

I know you don't know anything about the paddle market and technology but if you truly believe in your heart that this 2023 Ben Johns paddle is a good buy at $140, then that's okay. You won't see anyone on the courts still using this and if they are they have had it forever and probably are ready for something new. You keep knocking the budget brands but clearly have no response to me showing you the 3s, which is literally a more recent Joola product line that Ben Johns himself has used, at a lower price today at least.
Anyone seeing this in the future, please just use a guide from a reputable review site like Pickleball Effect, John Kew, or Pickleball Studio. They'll usually have posts and lists for best paddles across categories, skill levels, and price ranges - across brands big and small. They will tell you what generation the model is after x-raying and breaking apart the paddles (which you'll see match what I've wrote here, despite OP accusing me of making it up) and all the other facts on weight, shape, sweet spot, etc.
Hope everyone out there starts playing! Please just don't fall for sales like this on old products - they are unloading inventory and making you think it's a deal. Pickleball paddle build tech is changing really fast and it's not worth spending almost any money on something this old, let alone over $100.

But you know paddle market just because you see Gen 4 in the title of a budget paddle.
