Features:
- Keeps your drink at your preferred temperature (between 120°F - 145°F), maintaining your chosen temperature for up to 1.5 hours with the Ember Mug 2, or all day when paired with the included charging coaster.
- Smart With or Without App: Pair this temperature control mug with the Ember app to set the temperature, customize presets, and more. The coffee mug is also functional without the app and remembers your last-used temperature (135°F out of the box)
- LED light at the base of the mug will inform you when your beverage is heating up or cooling off, when it is ready to drink, and when your battery needs to be charged. Personalize your mug by changing the LED to your favorite color.
- The mug enters sleep mode when empty or after 2 hours of inactivity; Ember wakes up when it senses movement or liquid

I now use a Fellow Carter mug, and just unscrew lid, sip, screw lid back. Coffee stays hot for a couple of hours - problem solved:
=> Fellow 16 oz Carter Wide Travel Mug - Wide Mouth Vacuum-Insulated Stainless Steel - Tea and Coffee Tumbler - Travel Coffee Mug with Ceramic Interior
The handle is too thin.... with a full mug, it's a bit hard to hold securely and hurts a bit.
This is my opinion... my personal take on them.
consider a Tervis 16oz mug with cover 🤔
just always nuke to reheat on the lower settings
like below whatever "defrost" is on your microwave.

This has been my experience exactly. I've used my sage green 14 oz Ember mug 2 maybe 200 times and I love it. It has worked flawlessly, and for slow drinkers like me it is a godsend. It takes friction out of my day, and saves me time and mental CPUs.
The problem with the Ember iphone app is that it's clunky and slow and frustrating and… actually infuriating. For something I use every day, it takes twice as long as it should, with too many extra taps. Why in the hell does Ember allow their mediocre software to continue for so long despite the 3.4 rating in the iOS appstore?
The Apple Watch app is very good, though, and taps my wrist with (optional) notifications. The lid is useful, or something similar like a small saucer, If you're gonna drink really slow. Definitely go for the 14 oz version.
Fortunately for me the mug and the app have always worked without fail, but the app has obviously been designed by a clueless marketer, not a good U.I. specialist, ffs 🙄
