I'm looking for a PLA(/plus/pro) that will not become brittle and break when held in a bowden tube for an extended period - say 6-8 weeks. The eSun PLA+ that I have barely makes it a week before breaking off.
I rarely use PLA as a primary filament, but occasionally as a support material for PETg models, but it's insanely annoying to start a model and have it pause because the PLA has run out (or worse - keep running without supports).

PLA snaps if you leave it there too long. Nothing you can really do about it.
I don't have very specific rules for each tier because it depends mostly on color, material, manufacturer, and price. I usually do something like this though:
Tier 1: $9-10/KG or above
Tier 2: $9-10/KG or below
Tier 3: $6-7/KG or below
Tier 4: $3-4/KG or below (we've had one of these, but it was at Micro Center and it was in store only so I counted it as tier 3.)

FWIW, I cannot replicate the black/white deal but I can get the black only for a post coupon price of $9.09 so I'm not complaining.
I've had the same issues. Do you have it near a window? The sun can also effect that.
