I got this about 6 months ago. I was worried with all the reviews about random malfunctions mentioned on reddit and the terrible support. I was able to get it for under 400 and decided to give it a try.

My unit ended up not having any issues. My main floor is 1400 sq feet with 75% hardwood.

Some recommendations:
1. Put a cap full of the refill solution into the clean water tank.
2. Put a denture cleaning tablet into the dirty water tank to make it not stink.

3. The 3rd party mop pads are crap. Tons of swirls. Use the OEM only for this part.

Most spinning mops still clean better than roller & track mops. Unless you are trying to continuously mop wet spills in most cases spinning mops are still as effective and are less maintenance. They can also get closer to objects like table or chair legs and corners than even extendable roller/track mops can get. Rollers/tracks are the future but you aren't going to find any really good ones in the $400 price point.

I bought the L20 refurb on a slick deal this time last year ($525 + tax which was a slick deal at the time, about twice what they sell for now) and it has been awesome in my most challenging floor plan. Even though refurb, it looked basically new.

Because of this I ordered the L40 which is a bunch of improvements and new features refurb for $350, and it will be delivered tomorrow. I can then move my L20 to my next most challenging section, the Roborock Q Revo Plus (also great, but not as good as the L20) to the next one, etc.

I will post how the L40 works out for future slick dealers...
I have the L20 which I also like. What's the upgrades on the L40 that made you pull the trigger?

heated mop cleaning, more than 50% stronger vacuum (might make a difference, dunno), extendable side brush to clean up corners better, base station tray self cleaning (that thing gets gross pretty fast).

I've had this model for about 6 months - paid right at $400 for it. It's been very very solid and my hardwood floors have never looked better. It has a cleaning solution tank that lasts a long time. I have it mop and clean my kitchen, foyer, and two tile bathrooms every day, probably well over 1,000 sq ft. The only downside for me has been my water tanks only last 3 or four days before I need to refill, but other than that. Dead on reliable. I installed the special hair cutting brush because of the dog shedding and that also works. I use generic bags and change them monthly. I have not Changed mop pads yet. The base self cleaning isn't great with my heavy use. I also clean it monthly.

it does not look like you can stack the coupon code with getting the "free" item (extra parts, dust bags, etc). apparently valued at $149, but I doubt it. at $70 might be a push.

i have the Mova version of this (this one is slightly better) and its great. Even better than I hoped and the software is great. I would have got this instead at this price. The mop works very well on my kitchen and bathroom floors and its very easy to empty the dirty water tank.
I just purchased the Mova P10 Pro Ultra, which is equivalent to the L40. How is the L40 better? I see better suction specs on the P10, as well as higher mop pad cleaning temp.

we just finished installing real nice and pricy engineered hardwood floors, what robot could I possibly look into that would not damage the floors?

I bought the L40 earlier this year around this price. When it works it's awesome. but lately the mop pads have stopped getting wet. The front wheel also broke, but I'm pretty sure there's a kid to blame for that. I'm sending it back for service and I will say their customer support has been great.

I received the "L40" today, and the condition was fine (none of the protective tape was on any of the sensors or whatever, but no scratches or dirt or anything). The only problem is that the side brush was missing, and when using the model number of the robot to look up side brushes, turns out that an L10S Pro Ultra robot was included in my L40 box. According to the model number of the dock I did get an X40/L40 dock (assuming they are interchangable, the model number only match X40 that I found, hopefully both use the same dock). I did confirm that this is not an L40 robot though, aside from the model number on the robot, the side brush is not capable of swinging out to get into corners, and online pics of the L10s Pro Ultra match what I have, not the L40. They are pretty close though...

Dreame sent me an eBay message when my order shipped telling me to reply to that if there were any issues with my order, which I just did including pics of the robot and the dock including model numbers and serial numbers, to which I received an immediate reply with an auto generated ticket number from Zen Desk, I guess let's see how their customer service is.

Not looking forward to boxing this back up and dealing with a return, this is a bulky SOB :/.
