my Delta3-1500 20ms switchover apparently is fast enough for modern computers

the old leadacid UPS have to replace batteries every 3 years

For slightly more, you can buy a Ecoflow river 3 plus with 10ms switch time.

This lead acid battery degrades very fast and needs constant replacement.

Not very long, as this unit will only output 900W. Don't forget to add in your monitor and other peripherals.

The instructions on how to replace the batteries of this UPS are on page 17 of the EN user manual.

these are made by cyberpower, they have an issue where sometime in a long power outage where the battery gets fully depleted they will not turn back on when the grid power comes back on. Stick with a real brand like APC, Liebert, Eaton

This is from 5 years ago https://www.reddit.com/r/unRAID/c...basic_ups/ but I have a recent 1500PFCLCD model that doesn't turn back on when power is restored.
