Hellboy II: Golden Army - really good
Serenity - haven't seen
Repo Men - I think I saw in college and it wasn't great
Oblivion - good but amazing practical/vfx and music
Waterworld - haven't seen
Seventh Son - haven't seen
12 Monkeys - really good
Pitch Black - really good
Pacific Rim 2 - people pretend it doesn't exist so I never saw it
Lucy - has it's good moments but overall meh
What sucked was his shenanigans killed The Nevers on HBO. I thought it was only a 6-episode series, but apparently they released a 2nd half in 2023 then deleted it off of HBO Max and only the last six are now on Prime. Huh? The BTS features never showed him, didn't interview him, he was the Creator Who Must Not Be Named.

They would ruin it like all the other reboots, I wish the show ran for a few more seasons

Unless this dude knows more than we do about how Firefly would have been more successful if Joss Whedon wasn't a *****, it's really something to blame a show's cancellation on something that came out 15 years later.

Serenity released the same summer Star Wars rebooted which must have been tough. I will watch it over Episode one any day though.

You've never seen Waterworld? Dennis Hopper was peak villian.

But even in correct order, it wasn't great out of the box. Whedon shows always need about a dozen episodes to find their groove. (As opposed to Star Trek shows which need 2-3 seasons to stop rehashing TOS.) First season of Buffy pales compared to S2 and on; Angel was a mess until they took out the Irish guy with the drug problem and made Cordy the Oracle (or whatever her title was). Too many cowboy episodes too early like Shindig and Jaynestown.
I was watching the DVD set for a review when it came out and mentioned in correspondence with a reader that I wasn't feeling it. They said, "Wait for Out of Gas and the ones afterward. If you decide you don't like it, I'll buy the DVDs off you and donate to my library." Well, I got to Out of Gas and then the trio of Ariel, War Stories, and Trash and it really started clicking.
Correction: Serenity came out in 2005, same year as Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith. The prequels began in 1999 with The Phantom Menace.
