This is the Gen 1; apparently a number of issues that were fixed in the Gen 2 version.
Also, the $50 gift card promo expired 30 Sep, and was not extended by Bose.

This deal is really solid for gen 1. I think they are rolling out the call upgrade to Gen 1 via a software update.

I think msrp is for the ultra version is $299, though Bose's site says $598. :o
