There is difference between pyrex and PYREX. PYREX is the original and made with with borosilicate.
pyrex is made with soda-lime glass and less expensive. - From Corning website.
lots of comparison videos on youtube. consensus is there isn't much difference for normal use, and the pyrex is safer for everyday kitchen use. It's a non-issue.

Thank you for pointing out the difference. My personal experience with the lowercase modern pyrex glass has been positive. Despite the claims that pyrex is less suitable for high heat exposure I have had zero issues with using the round 2-cup pyrex bowls in my pressure cooker to hold the rice while it cooks. As you would imagine the temperature of the glass under these conditions reaches very extreme levels. However, there is no sudden change from cold to hot or back to cold. I have not experienced any cracking or shattering. The bowls are at least a decade old.

It's only slightly less tolerant of thermal shock. Unless you are running a meth-lap and pouring sub zero chemicals into these over an open fire, you have nothing to worry about.

Do you have a link for this? My understanding is that borosilicate in the United States is almost exclusively scientific and industrial glassware, but "consumer" is all soda-lime, regardless of the logo variations. Even when Corning still owned Pyrex, most "consumer" items were soda-lime.
If it isn't marketed as borosilicate, assume it's not.
If you want actual borosilicate glassware for home:
My history is not with the glass but the lids. They crack and are worthless in a short time. There is no easy replacement i have found. So you are left with a bunch of glass containers without lids. I'd avoid these.

I know it is not ideal, but there are pyrex replacement lids available for a decent price on Amazon and Aliexpress. We recently bought a set.
We really prefer glass over plastic for food storage and refrigeration after meal prep. So this seems to be an optimal way.
i thought the rectangle one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BSKH82RJ was the one i bought earlier this year for $9 but this one is half the size. these schemers love to trick people and swap cup capacity with size measurement on their product pages just to confuse the public. the rectangle one with the red lid is 8 x 6" is 6 cups while mine is 11 cup. these are very very small containers.

I'm a big fan of the rubbermaid brilliance glass containers now.
If not, I'm buying them.
