There is difference between pyrex and PYREX. PYREX is the original and made with with borosilicate.
pyrex is made with soda-lime glass and less expensive. - From Corning website.

lots of comparison videos on youtube. consensus is there isn't much difference for normal use, and the pyrex is safer for everyday kitchen use. It's a non-issue.

These used to come with lids that would last many years, but the last couple of times I bought lids they would crack quickly. Now I use silicone lids (Sophico on amazon) which I have used for 3 years with no issues and I expect they will last a whole lot longer. They are thicker and floppier than the original, but still firm enough that I haven't had trouble stacking containers on top of each other. Unfortunately they aren't cheap and having to buy them makes the deal not so slick.

My history is not with the glass but the lids. They crack and are worthless in a short time. There is no easy replacement i have found. So you are left with a bunch of glass containers without lids. I'd avoid these.
I just had my first lid crack from a set I bought 6 years ago. That's not too bad for plastic. I only put the lids in the top shelf of the dishwasher. Maybe hand washing would extend the life even more.

Is there a place where i can get the lid alone? Just too many without lids. Thanks i never knew it may be that's why i see the two glasses different.
