There IS one other feature if you have the top plan of PS+: you can stream directly from the PS+ game catalog to the Portal - but only the games which are currently on Plus. Works about as well as streaming from your console, which is neat, and it's a good way to keep your household's power usage down if that's the stuff you're planning on playing.
I'm not sure if they'll do enough to be more than a convenient way to play games remotely (say in your bed or another room away from the PS5) but they are able to play games away from home as long as you can get access to WiFi (with good connection/speed) and can remote to your main system. The PS+ Premium tier did give you more ability to do that. I will expect these to eventually get hacked to open more abilities but I'm not sure if it'll happen before they discontinue making them.
I recommend making sure you get the service plan from Best Buy. It'll help you at least have options if something happens down the road.
