To enter a park, both a theme park reservation and a valid ticket for the same park on the same date is required. Theme park reservations for CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket Offer holders are limited in number and subject to the availability of park reservations allocated to the CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket Offer as determined by Disney, applicable blockout dates, and theme park capacity. Reservation availability for CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket Offer holders is not guaranteed for any date and reservations may be difficult to get for any particular date, especially as the ticket expiration date approaches. To ensure best availability, make reservations early. On any given date, park reservations may be available for general theme park tickets even though park reservations allocated to the CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket Offer are fully reserved. CA Resident Park Hopper Ticket Offer holders are not entitled to any reservations Disney makes available to others. Parks, attractions, entertainment, experiences, services and offerings may be modified, limited in availability or unavailable, and are subject to restrictions, change or cancellation without notice. Park admission and offerings are not guaranteed. Visit Welcome to a Land of Magic for more information about visiting the Disneyland Resort.
I looked and a lighting lane multi pass is another $102 PER TICKET (i believe thats on the lowest price and can be higher depending on date)
So this becomes a $350 per ticket compared to the costco's $450, but I bleieve that came with $20 food credit so you can buy a drink or 1 churro that disney adults seem to make out like its better than an orgasm.
On the website if you buy a 3 day, and add a lighting multi pass you cant just select a day or 2. It will always be 3 days to match 3 day ticket.
To save money is there a way to purchase it after for only 1 or 2 days? I figure on the first 2 days with the lightning we can hammer out all the rides, and on 3rd day just whatever. For a party of 6 thats saving $200 omitting 1 day on the lightning.
I also just saw these lighting multi pass doesnt even get you star wars rise of the resistance or cars radiator springs. Thats an ADDITIONAL pass/charge?
Plus another $120 for 3 day parking

It.... was not lol. The most popular rides had an hour plus wait most of the day. I had to have a 5 hour wait for the lightning pass for guardians to ride it at 9:30pm. Still though, when I got there around 8am I rode ~22 rides (a couple multiple times).
I stilll have one more ticket and have to decide if I want to go on Saturday or use a PTO day.

Weekdays and non-holidays are your best bet. Also, check fireworks and World of Color schedules because if there are no planned fireworks that day, then Disney is already planning on that day being low crowds. We want to see fireworks, though, so we'll plan for a fireworks day either the day before or after a non-fireworks day.
Be careful of days in which you see the park you want to go to is closed early due to a special event. The special event draws crowds AND you have a shortened day so it's not worth it.
Not related to this sale, but October outside of the Halloween Party days is another time when crowds are low. Usually there's non-fireworks days planned during this season, too.
That being said, the downside of going on a day with less crowds is usually Disney plans maintenance on rides during the low season. You may find your favorite ride is shut down if you're avoiding crowds, so you should check beforehand if you care.
