it's a suction tool that pulls the bug venom/irritants out so that they don't cause you to itch

Figured I would tag you 3 since ya'll are interested enough to post. I suffer from pretty aggressive localized allergic reactions to mosquito bites. Like almost golf ball size welts. This device DOES work, but it does need to be used very quickly. Also probably works for wasps and the like, but never tried it.

I no longer use it though, because of what Chocobo mentioned. The hear method works infinitely better and is less time sensitive. Apparently the proteins in mosquito saliva are very heat sensitive and break down around 120-130 degrees F. Saw someone on the internet say to use a spoon or knife under hot hot water, then apply to skin. They were right, not only does it stop the itching almost immediately, but the reaction is completely gone and never returns.

Since finding that, I have been able to enjoy being outside a LOT more. On top of that I found these little AAA powered devices that have a ceramic heater built in. Keep one in each vehicle and they work very well.
