24Tb is a current active SD at $240

I see you're an infrequent poster, so don't let that discourage you. We appreciate the post!

not really, they are for cold or infrequently accessed purposes. Not constant hits

HELPFUL HINT: Their are a number of current threads on this device, many go into search on Slickdeals and plug in: Seagate external.

Because in other threads we discuss this drive, pros and cons, and others give their experience with drive. I generally use the Search feature a lot, if I'm interested in a product. Little threads like this are new, and don't have much traffic.

I own this product (Seagate 26TB expansion mode, bought it for 250 dollars a month ago) and I did research it myself. I use device in the enclosure it came with , and mostly use as storage device, I personally would not put in NAS/DAS. But if you go into other threads on this, you get lots of useful info. Yeah, I guess you can use for media for Plex Server, but I use other devices for plex server stuff.
