Everyone is entitled to an opinion but I have had great luck with open box Watches. You can simply return it if it was unsatisfactory.
Also per the item page…
  • Works and looks like new. Restored to factory settings.
  • Includes all parts and accessories. Packaging may vary or be absent.

This is a good deal if the watch is indeed in excellent condition. If it's not, it's an easy return.

I ordered a series 10 BB open-box advertised in excellent condition a couple of weeks ago. It had a chip on the screen. I don't know how that got past a cursory inspection, but it did. Easy return and prompt credit card reimbursement. It was worth the effort even though it didn't work out for me. I ended up ordering a closeout 10 from Target, but had I not, I would jump on something like this.

Apple changed how they quantify the battery duration this year. You can bet there will be no noticeable difference between series 10 and 11 other than in marketing brochure.

I took the $299 Series 10 46mm at Costco. 42mm is too small for most men's wrists. So far battery is good all day and recharges in less than 30 min.

Used to work returns at Best Buy. The overwhelming majority of Apple Watch returns were because they either bought the wrong size or did not like the color. A huge portion of them had never even been powered on. Plus you can return them for any reason and they have a full warranty. There's really nothing to lose.

Bought a open box series 10 last week for about $250. It was in excellent condition, came with the box and all. Looks brand new and I am able to add AppleCare.

As with practically all open box items at Best Buy, you are allowed to inspect the item before leaving the store. They will physically open the box, remove all the contents and let you inspect it. Best Buy deserves a lot of heat for various reasons and even their open box conditions that they categorize can be questionable but they at least give you the option to verify before you leave.

IMHO Best Buy open box is not the 'open box' of the past. They used to review it in store, and it was purchased at store so you can check the quality. Now it's all "open box" from a warehouse that supposedly is reviewed, but the last 2 open box items I bought were damaged more than stated and missing parts (remote or cables) and stated that it was included in the open box tags.
TBH - Open Box is NOT worth a small discount on higher end products. Maybe a scratch and dent on a freezer for your garage but for apple watch or other TV's, I'd pass.
