Made in USA, SJTOW rated, 12 gauge extension cord with Husky Lifetime Warranty.

Lighted end lets you know you have power and avoid any Chevy Chase mishaps.

Stores that still have stock will have a "See in-store clearance price" link under the $59.99 price. YMMV

Copper tariffs of 50% went in effect on Aug 1st, so these clearance deals may be a much better savings than we currently know.

The jacket on the SJTOW is oil resistant, so suitable for garage AND outdoor use.

Serious question: Is oil resistance necessary in the vast majority of garages? I can totally see its benefit in mechanics shops, but my cars don't leak oil -- and yes, I know the tires being in stuff and all. But it's a serious question, should regular homeowners be paying twice the price for oil resistance?

No. I've been using the green Christmas extension cords for decades in my garage for light duty purposes. This is a quality extension cord, but overkill for 90% of people's occasional use.

I think it comes down to usage and personal preference. Unless this is not getting dragged though a mechanics garage there is no reason to look for oil resistant extension cord.

It depends on how 'garagie' your garage is.

Do you change your own oil or do your own brakes ?
Do you have a drill press or mill?
Do you spray solvent or 2pak paints?
Do you maintain small engines or chainsaws?
Do you TIG weld?

Like many tools, some people are going to be best served by lighter duty items, and others will get more value from heavy duty choices. YMMV.
