This Metro Razr 2024 deal is mainly about a cheap foldable with a one year Metro lock and eSIM activation. The strongest upside is the price, with multiple orders going through around $65 or even $35 for a second line, and the phone can be used on Wi Fi or as a secondary device while waiting. Community testing also points to a possible unlock path on some Android 14 units, especially older November 2024 builds. The main catches are frequent stock and checkout failures, plus many reports that newer Android 15 or March 2025 units stay locked or hit server errors. A good fit if you are comfortable with the wait and the activation hassle.
The deal can avoid a port-in requirement at checkout time, which simplifies activation for new lines.
The phone uses an eSIM, and auto-unlock can work after the one-year wait when the eSIM is not erased early.
The device can be used on Wi-Fi or hotspot even while waiting for unlock, which supports secondary or media use.
Android update support is described as lasting multiple years, including eligibility for Android 16 and security updates through 2028.
Checkout can fail or the cart can show the phone at full price, including greyed-out continue buttons and missing the $65 plan discount.
The deal can go out of stock quickly or show as unavailable online, requiring repeated checking or store attempts.
Unlocking guidance is inconsistent, with many reports of server communication errors and difficulty reaching the permanent unlock option.
Folding-phone durability concerns include screen protector cracking or peeling near the hinge and reports of hinge-related screen failures.

Try turning off esim data before clicking the open metro unlock app, if you don't see the permanent unlock button click the Reset Metro App and try opening the metro unlock app again. Keep Reseting app if you keep getting that 180day Metro. Also try turning off all internet wifi + esim, but you should still have the VPN logo gnirehtet.
I did revise the steps to include this.

I don't know what you are asking because all the stuff is named the same.
There is a moto.exe need for unlocking that's from XDA. In that metro.exe it has a "Open Metro unlock app" (unlock.apk or unlock app that's preinstalled on phone already).
Yo do not need to download anything in the phone, I recommend not setting up esim yet or wifi, because if you do it will auto-push or force install security update that will patch your free unlock.
Please I beg you to re-read instructions I even updated it recently and look at pictures to what I'm referring too.
