This Metro Razr 2024 deal is mainly about a cheap foldable with a one year Metro lock and eSIM activation. The strongest upside is the price, with multiple orders going through around $65 or even $35 for a second line, and the phone can be used on Wi Fi or as a secondary device while waiting. Community testing also points to a possible unlock path on some Android 14 units, especially older November 2024 builds. The main catches are frequent stock and checkout failures, plus many reports that newer Android 15 or March 2025 units stay locked or hit server errors. A good fit if you are comfortable with the wait and the activation hassle.

Thanks boss. I'll keep repeating these steps. I feel like I'm almost there bc I get all the way to the last step but get that comm error like others. Also, with the wifi turned on it seems Motorola eventually downloaded an update and wants me to reset to apply even though I initially turned all auto updates off. Suffice to say I won't be resetting until I can unlock it.
You can try again later just dont reboot phone or turn off phone but dont let it run out of battery as well. Before i unlocked mine, it already downloaded the march update and was prompting to reboot. If i gave up it wouldn't have unlocked it.

I screw my phone up. It's now update to Mar 2025 despite me having everything turn off on auto update. During the unlocking process, the last step said to turn on WiFi. I turned it on and it automatically downloaded and installed security update. I was on Jan 2025 when unboxed...
Just want to know if anyone having success unlock with A14 Mar 25?

The arrival today says 02/02/2025. The earlier 2 were manufactured in May 2025. Seems like they're getting closer to the bottom of the stack.

shortyman, thank you for trying to help us.

unfortunately I can't get this thing to unlock

security update: November 2024

I dusted off an old windows laptop that I have since I mainly use a MacBook.

I downloaded the moto program you linked.
for some reason, my stupid laptop keeps doing that usb noise like when you connect and disconnect a device. I have no idea why. I never plugged a usb device to this laptop so the connection should be firm.

I open up the moto app on my laptop and click on UNLOCK and it shows my serial number under select add device but within seconds it 'disconnects' and reconnects

I have restarted my laptop but I still get the same usb noise. I'm afraid to restart my razr because it might install an update. I will try again tomorrow

thanks again for helping the community

Mine did the same with downloading the update, however, it didn't auto install but instead is prompting me to restart to apply it. Did you unintentionally install the update by rebooting?

I got bunch of server errors but eventually popup said it was unlocked, i rebooted the phone still saying locked. Now no matter what I try it will not get off the Metro Prompt without option to try unlock when opening and closing Metro App. Looks like it downloaded update, but I have not restarted it yet. Any suggestions?

EDIT was able to get to unlock screen again but same with either wifi on or off it gives server error

No. Once I see it downloaded the update. I stopped it at 24% by turning off the WiFi. I then do hard reset to avoid it being updated. It ended up apply the update anyway...smh

Mine did the same thing with the downloading of an update. Ive yet to restart the device. Im getting through all the instructions until the end after I click Try Permanent Unlock I just get a connection error. Ive tried both with wifi on and off and same results. Maybe someone has some success and tell me where Im going wrong.

Did say Unlock on phone or on the PC window? because if you exit duplicate screenshare the janky tool will report unlock regardless of not unlocking
