Just a heads up. When entering personal info on order, do not capitalize your first or last name. I read about this from another thread and it seems to work at keeping their security system from raising false security flags. Also used chrome incognito and VPN. Order went thru without a hitch.

forgive my stupidity but I know this is for Metro but can I just buy this and then cancel after one month and then use it on T-Mobile's Network?

Im assuming these can be network unlocked after a year ?? How long do you have to wait to get a second line and another phone or tablet?

it seems to be locked for a year, I'm on month nine on an extra one. At that price I may butcher it as extra parts.

I think they blocked me as I do this whenever a deal comes up. Any work arounds?

I don't get it - so, after 1 month of service I simply not pay them and wait another 11 months to unlock? Will it unlock automatically or will I need to call/write them?

Use different personal info: email, phone number and virtual credit card number if your cc allows it. Also use VPN and use incognito mode on Chrome. The non-caps on name does work for some people who can't seem to get through the false security firewall.

It is an eSim. Do not erase it before auto unlock, otherwise it will never unlock. Auto unlock works fine when connected to WiFi after one year wait.

Yup, no other way than waiting for a year.

After 12 months, just connect to wi-fi and make sure the original SIM card is in phone and request unlock. Some others have reported phones unlock automatically but I haven't experienced that.
