In the video it says turn on bluetooth and wifi. I dont know if thats just to have enough bandwidth to communicate all the information from the phone to this device? or can this device, use your phone's connection to the internet through wifi?

It might've been a weather issue but there were a few times during the summer where I started the car and the screen will stay black even after driving out a few meters. It did eventually "boot up" correctly a few seconds later without having to replug anything in and I didn't have to reboot my phone or turn blue tooth/wifi on and off.
Apart from those weird events, it has been working fine. The device is lightweight enough and the cord is short it stays firmly in place and this is with hard driving taking quick corners.

Wired, obviously, does not require WiFi but it still requires Bluetooth to be on and connected to the car.
