Don't these cheap no-brand Amazon faucets have a bunch of lead in them?

Yeah, I wouldn't risk a Chinese faucet that has not passed UL tests (or any faucet that has not passed UL for that matter.) Saving $50 is absolutely not worth it.

I'd stay away from these no name Chinese faucets. I bought a similar faucet from Amazon that was later taken off the market after the CPSC verified it was leeching lead.

I've had this EXACT faucet since May, 2023. It's worked flawlessly. I'd not hesitate to purchase another.

Home Depot branded ones (Glacier Bay) are just a few bucks more and they have good lifetime warranty. Not sure why people still go for the cheapest one with Amazon 30 day return only.

You mean my builder used a Moen with a lifetime warranty when I could've had a WeWe?! 😡

Yes they do. Another Chinese faucet I got was recalled because of lead. And I want to thank you for reminding us about the problem with these faucets, Please never stop telling people about this even if it is repetitive.

I installed this today. Seems to be a great faucet for the money, water lines included, and other than an adjustable wrench for the water lines it is a tool free install.

I'm pretty sure that everyone here defending WeWe and accusing Moen of "scare tactics" are likely being paid by WeWe in exchange for positive reviews. If I bought a house that had a WeWe faucet (or some other dodgy Chinese off-brand) I would immediately rip them out for a quality brand (preferably Moen, but Delta and Kohler are also good).

When I hired a plumber with 30 years experience to replace my kitchen faucet, I asked what's his favorite brands, his answers are below:
  1. Delta
  2. Moen
  3. Everything else (Kohler, etc.).
The reason he gave was lifetime warranty and ease to replace the cartridge.
Just his opinion, I forgot to ask German brands like Grohe and Hansgrohe

I tried a Glacier Bay and it failed in less than a year. It also felt cheaper than the name brands. It's fine if you don't mind having to deal with returning and replacing it every year.
