8-core processor and UFS storage makes this much slower than the Surface Pro 11.

You can grab the 10-core Snapdragon X Plus with the 256GB SSD for close to this price on sale. The SP 11 has a much higher resolution screen with 120Hz display, and an easily replaceable SSD so you can upgrade to any 2230 NVME drive you want.

Where or when have you seen the surface pro 11 for around $600? That's a crazy good deal.

I'd go with Best Buy's keyboard bundle for 750 if there's no local micro center

The Intel CPU Surface Pro 10 is the one to look at.
Obviously, depending on money and needs, i5 or faster i7, more ram as money allows, and storage size depends on how much junk you keep around, or not.
...
The Snapdragon X CPUs ARE NOT 100% compatible with all Win11 apps, drivers, vpns, etc, so you must accept this fact if you go with a Snapdragon system.
Which for $600 is a PITA....

Don't worry about compatibility, Windows on ARM paranoia is old news.

Depends on what you need. I still have a cad program that takes a hardware key that hasn't been (and apparently won't be) updated for ARM. Neither the key manufacturer or the software developer are interested in adding ARM compatibility and sadly it's not a program that can be replaced easily (I actually have a different laptop set aside just to run that app and then go back to AutoCAD on my other laptops for everything else.

I think people running CAD on a 13" tablet is so rare that it's insignificant. Or 12" like this tablet.
