For anyone interested, KFC is selling the new honey bbq drums for $2. Regular drum is $4.19 where I'm located (MA). Combined with one of their two coupon, it's either $1 total with "$1 off $2" coupon or $2 plus a large side of fries free coupon. Second option yields a greater discount.

It's a hefty piece of chicken. Also, never purchase the chicken little sandwich when you get get the regular size for 20 cents more.

"....Kentucky Fried Chicken Family Bucket in 1957 as a way to give housewives a reprieve. The "finger-licking good" meal in the bucket included 15 pieces of chicken, gravy and six hot rolls. The price? $3.50."

$35.99 for 16 pieces and that is not including all the sides specified above (extra $2.99 for gravy and $7.74 for 6 biscuits) = $46.72 and that is when minimum wage in my state is $7.25/hr.

Reality, $3.50 on a $1/hr. in 1957 so 7.25 that? $25.375 (so more than half of what they are charging). Now I could go down to the nitty gritty and proportion the discount off each chicken piece from their regular prices and use that discount percentage amount off a single bowl of gravy and biscuits, but I highly doubt it would bring it down under $40.00.

If you have a wife today, she is going to be like "Giving me a reprieve? Excuse me? You're making it, if you want all that so bad. And you should not be spending that much of OUR money on junk."
Thanks, crapitalism

I live 2 miles from the original KFC (which is in UT), and the chain is a complete joke in my state. The honey bbq drumstick is $4.99 for me, with no offers. Last time I went there a few months ago, my drumstick was 1.5" long, had maybe 1/2 oz of meat on it, and had been clearly sitting for hours.

I thought it was Ohio or Kentucky. They have a museum of the original kfc there but you're saying UTAH?

Colonel Sanders was an odd guy. I would have thought KY and Corbin, KY, but Utah was actually where the first franchise of it was built.
Ohio was known for Wendy's.
Fun fact: People in Japan love KFC!
