I could have waited to buy this instead of buying a 7600X3D at $300 when it came out... But instead, I enjoyed 1 year of high framerate gaming. Would recommend upgrading whenever you need to.

This CPU is less than 10% behind the 9800 X3D with high end GPUs. I don't think it's getting much cheaper. Buy now think later.

Yeah agreed, but where are you going to buy a 5800X3D for under $320 new? Most of the typical retailers don't have it new and if they do it's about the same price or more than the 7800X3D on sale or it's used. Though if you are on AM4 the 5800X3D is a great purchase if you can find it at a reasonable price but I think those days are gone.
In for one at Amazon I had gift cards, points and discount Prime Visa (Cash back) and Amazon Day discount. Thanks Big Grin

You'll be waiting a while. Zen 6 is still a year away and even then to get a chip that'll outperform this one at less than $350 will be another year or longer.
