I've heard the same. Disney is losing millions on weak box office numbers, and their theme parks and streaming are struggling as well. It's almost as if Americans don't like certain narratives dictated to them (or their children) in entertainment.

Nice discount though, if you want to see this one.

It's definitely a flop. There wasn't a market for this. It's crazy that they even made this movie. Tron: Legacy flopped, too. There's just a small, but very vocal fanbase, that made it seem like people really wanted another Tron. It also didn't help that they cast Jared Leto.

Pay no attention to the critics. This movie is not great but thoroughly enjoyable

**** what the critics have to say. 'Tron: Ares' was EASILY one of my personal favorite movie-going experiences of the year, as it's truly a cinematic and visual MASTERPIECE. So much so that I saw it twice this weekend. And that's coming from somebody who didn't care for the original OR 'Legacy' (found them a bit too corny and cheesy)...

It wasn't that bad. I've seen a lot of worse movies in the theater lately. So I would give it a 6 or a B-. The visuals and audio were very impressive in IMAX 3D and it had a lot of action even if the story itself wasn't that good and Jared isn't the best choice. It's one of those movies people should see in IMAX 3D just for the experience.

In my opinion, Tron Ares is no worse than your average Marvel movie these days and at least Tron Ares knows "its lane" and doesn't try to be funny and fail like Marvel movies. I enjoyed it more than the Captain America Harrison Ford hulk one or the last 2 Venoms.

Medicore critics review, but audience review is good.
It's probably decent at the least.

It's not Baaad, & it's pretty in 3D

It's an "I am inside a computer. Can programs have feelings?" Disney movie, you know exactly what to expect lol

It couldn't possibly be the fact that streaming is readily available shortly after release and frequenting the theater is no longer necessary…

But sure, prescribing your own analysis is fun too

Thanks for joining in the analysis. Fact is, frequenting the theater was never necessary. It was a value judgement that people thought was fair in years past, so the theaters did well for a long time. Nowadays not so much, and the numbers reflect that.

So which one is it? "Narratives" or streaming?

I saw it in dolby 3d, and this is a movie to see in a theater. Poor story but great visuals and sound.
