Wow! Great price for a solid router.
I've got two of these in AiMesh covering my whole house and outside deck. Easy to set up. They just work.

Add another vote. I got a pair of these for this price during a previous Amazon SD. Mesh with wired backhaul (using MoCA). Works like a champ. I have 60+ clients (doorbells, smart lights, desktop computers, laptops, phones, etc.).

EDIT: I stand corrected. I got the GT-AX11000 Pro. Mine doesn't have 6E -- just 6. But mine has a 10 G + 2.5G port, whereas OP's has a 2.5 G port and 1 G ports. But I've been doing ASUS routers in mesh for years and they're easy to setup... and just WORK.

Still rocking Asus ac68u reflashed t-mobile router I got for $40. Install merlin and haven't rebooted in over a year. Sometimes, old things were built like tanks.

Are new ones equally good?

I had that back in the day. If you have tons of clients and want really low latency, get yourself an upgrade.

Yep. A solid router. I used the app to set up AiMesh. Surprised how easy it was. Just followed the prompts and in about 10 minutes my house was bathed in mesh.

should be careful with those, as they are end of life. I would consider upgrading to a newer router and you can repurpose those as AIMesh nodes.

A RT-AC68U can run the latest Merlin firmware and can be a Mesh node. I have one running as a node and a second one as a backup if something happens to my RT-AX86U.
