1. Our local Dollar General is closing. S'Momma had gotten me into using the $5 off coupon on Saturdays and even my husband likes that. He says it's like getting a free product. Not horrible that our local store is closing but we liked it for pet food when we didn't want to go to the grocery store. Luckily in NJ nothing is really far away, so we can find more Dollar Generals and Family Dollars, but it stinks to see stores closing. It sounds as if it is because of a rent dispute.<br />

2. For some reason I was looking at my Walgreen's account. Last week I had a digital spend $15 get $5 W bucks, and this week it is spend $10 get $10 W bucks, so it is worth checking out. Also, if you have Horizon insurance--my husband linked our insurance card to our Walgreen's account, and it gives us 30% off of Walgreen's products (I have not tried this in store, but it works online). It is automatic. It includes the Soap and Glory brand too. Does anyone have a link to the old Walgreen's thread, or is it worth me starting a new one?
Here's the Walgreens thread. I think it would be fine to post in it as Lakebreeze is still around. I shop some Walgreens still as it is where we have to fill prescriptions, but due to lack of activity I haven't posted there in awhile. On a CVS note, I saw there is a promotion for buy $100 of select gift cards and get a $20 ecb. At least one of the gift cards is a zift zillions card that includes Amazon. There are several things we can only find - at a decent price - on Amazon, so I plan to do that deal on a couple of cards this week. I saw this in a separate thread someone made.

There's also a deal on a gift card with CVS as an option. I've been looking for it since the ad started and I finally found one yesterday but it's not zift zillions. It's tagged for the deal but I'm going to have the cashier check it with the zebra before I make the purchase. The gift card deal should've been posted in this thread. That's what it's here for. <br />

I'm so sorry. I didn't mean you. I meant the person who posted he deal by itself instead of the CVS thread. I want the CVS thread to do well so more people will contribute and we'll all get better deals. I'd like for the CVS deals to go here.

I can confirm it works on zift zillions card that includes Amazon.
DH wasn't very happy with this type of GC, he says they harvest a LOT more info than if I'd just bought a straight Amazon GC.
The cashier told me they usually swap out GCs from the carousel for ones they keep up front but there were no more of these left. I think there were 4 on the carousel/display.
There have been incidences of people using steam to open them.
We opened it to examine the barcode and it didn't look like it was tampered with. I had DH load it to Amazon as soon as I got it home.
I saw a secondary display near greeting cards, the slot of the one including Amazon was already empty there.

Also, I don't think the Zift for Zillions barcodes can be steamed off and successfully put back on. They require scraping with the side of a coin or other metal object to get the top off. I seriously don't think that covering could be steamed off and successfully glued back on. Maybe I'm naive?
