Watch out! Batteries are only 1.2V not typical 1.5V required in most devices.

All NiMH rechargeable batteries are 1.2V.

There are such thing as Ni-Zn 1.6V batteries but I DO NOT recommend them for regular electronics.

I'm in for the charger at this price. I like to see "low self-discharge" on NiMH rechargeable battery specs. I'm only seeing vague long life statements.

High drain electronics, I think. I had very disappointing performance with a laser pointer when using 1.2V NiMH, so I needed to spring for rechargeable Li-ion AAA, which are 1.5V.
That's a bummer it didn't work for your use case.

NiMH batteries are typically suggested more for high-drain applications because they self-discharge substantially even when sitting around unused (as much as ~1%/day or ~25%/month). When used with a remote control or smoke detector, for example, you might need to recharge every few months. You wouldn't want to put this in a seldom-used emergency flashlight, because you might find it inoperable when you really needed it. There are low-self-discharge varieties, but idk about these Granicell.

Came out to $11.50 after tax. It will be helpful to have another 8 port charger when I have to recharge my candle batteries!

What devices would typically be picky? Not flashlights or remotes right?
I use rechargeables for both. 1.2v is fine.
