Just saying I have Ryobi 1 gal vacuum that goes on sale for $50 often and I love it for cordless option and vacuuming the cars. It's smaller and easier to carry than something like this

No one, including me, suggested that this device would provide the absolute best suction. In fact, I said the opposite of that, that for the convenience of cordless, you're giving up best suction performance. Apparently you read as well as you watch videos. The reviewer in the video said "suction was great" when vacuuming water and that "suction was decent" on sawdust. Is that outstanding performance compared to a corded unit? No. But it isn't terrible, either.

Personally, I'd pick the 1 gallon vac over the bucket top vac because it is more portable. If I need a bigger vac, I'll get out my corded Rigid or use the built in house vac.
