Yeah I don't have this one, but a very similar one from amazon. The power brick gets crazy hot while using. Hot enough to have a melting plastic smell. Even when it's not in use the power brick is hot. I don't leave it plugged in anymore when I'm not using it which is kind of a PITA. Otherwise a very nice magnifying arm for the $20-$25 that I spent on it.
