Trust me they got this phone VERY CHEAP from Motorola. Don't ever rely on their MSRP number. Some people with a low IQ to say they are losing money because we are cheating. Nope they never lose money.

Glad I took advantage of the edge+ 2023 when that was available. The specs on this phone are so substandard compared to that one especially for the price. It's a hard pass for me. You'd be better off going w/ the edge 2024 instead.

This seems too easy to get an unlocked phone, provided you have a practical use for two months of service.

A two-month plan dovetails perfectly to the automatic unlock. Unless they automatically re-enroll you to another two months if you don't cancel in time. Why would Total Wireless make it so easy? Or is the two months of revenue (plus chance of converts) worth it?

Well it used to be 1 month rather than 2 that you needed to purchase.
So maybe this offsets the losses of people buying pay for one month and leave, and also encourages people that genuinely want to stay on total long term

I want to gift this to someone in November for their birthday. Does anyone know if I have to activate the phone right away or can I hold off for a few weeks?

There are some really good comparison videos on YouTube. Seems like a really solid phone, feature wise.

Companies lose money all the time have write offs. Idk which is more likely here, probably a write off coming on Motorolas end.

Google is financing some part of these devices, I'm pretty sure all companies are affiliated. Google make money every time an iPhone user moves to Android, with advertised, big data, play store, etc. Is on their best interest to sell cheap, to motivate people to leave iOS.

Edge was made for speed, has faster CPU, double the storage and more RAM. If you only care about speed, go for the Edge. Go with the Stylus if you really need to use the stylus. I barely use it so I go for the Edge.

Is this Moto crippled for T-mobile 5G (after unlocked)? I had a TW Samsung a35 and after unlocked it could not reliably connect to 5G on T-Mobile. TW 5G was fine. Does the model number end in "V"?

I have it, it is fast and snappy. Almost as speedy as my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Some credit cards offer 25% off ($15 off $60) for services - Chase Sapphire Reserve and checking accounts showed this offer. Also, a popular credit card CB program shows $80 off for phone purchases but not for services.

This is a good deal for a no ID / Port requirement. I bought a couple of 2024 Edge last year and they were great. Better build quality compared to regular Motorola phones. However, Edge does not have any headphone jack or SD expansion. Decent deal, but hopefully it comes down further during the holidays.

Having paid $65 per phone for one-month service with port last year, hard to justify paying $50 plus two months premium plan. However, those are the rules now.
