Problem solved! I love the USB charging too. They have a 2 pack for about $11-$12 but for a few bucks more I figure get the 3 pack and have an extra just in case one of them breaks over time.

Bought the black ones last time they were on sale. The battery life is atrocious, and if you use the Timed Off buttons, not all 3 lights will sync up when they shut off. It's a game of whack-a-mole. I only use them if they are plugged in.
That said - if you report any issues to the manufacturer, you may be able to get a refund.
