These 2032 go into garage door openers (at least that's what I use them for) and the 2016 go into key fobs (again that's what I use them for). The key fobs are a bit of a pain to get into and I'm always worried about damaging the fob case, so longer lasting is worth it if the name brands last longer. The garage door openers aren't as big of an issue but it's still nice to replace batteries less often, even if they cost more.
