I got this one the last time it was on sale. I was able to build an entire closet with very little issues. The cutting depth is a bit limited, but on the other hand it's really light and easy to toss around just about anywhere.
It does feel pretty cheap, but somehow it works and works pretty well.

I think I have the 10" version that I got by cancelling something else in the order for about $140. Great tool to have around if you do any home DIY

I agree. Get the 10" slider. Forget the 7 1/4. If feels like a toy and not very precise. I have both and anything I need to cut accurately I use the 10". Its the one I use the most. Save your money and get the 10". Once you get the 10", the 7 1/4 is redundant and hardly worth using.

I couldn't stand the small cross cut capacity. Returned it. Yes it might be cheap but I couldn't justify the $199 (cost when I bought it) given its limitations. I saved, waited, and bought a 10" sliding saw—Absolutely love it.

Why did Slickdeals screw up the "Search" function? It is awful now.

If you search "Ryobi Miter Saw" the first 199 out of 200 results going back to 2024 are NOT Ryobi miter saws.

I have the 10inch sliding version and use it all the time. This one is great if you won't use it on large boards (unless your ok with cut/flip/finish cutting). This is great for smaller trim and 2x4 and has a way smaller footprint/weight than the 10". Also I've done large projects and only use 1 or 2 batteries. The HP batteries are fantastic but the regular high Amp batteries still work great too.

As a DIY this handles all my 2x4 and even 4x4 with one flip over. Handles baseboard up to the size of a 2x4. This would fit the needs of most people. Sold my 10". I've worked on about 4 houses which includes decks, patio cover, roofing.

Most circular saws take a 7.25, so quality blades are easy to find. This is a tiny cutting area, other than 2x4 or putting a metal cutting blade on it for pipes. For 50ish more dollars there are decent options for a 10" SLIDING compound miter saw, which is 100000 times more versatile. Save up for the better tool.

This is way to small to cut much of anything more than trim. Spend a little more and get the 10" sliding miter

I bought the corded version of this, and also the Ryobi table saw. I was just starting out wood working. I regret buying these. They are very inaccurate and impossible to get exact calibration. I should have spent a little more money to get higher quality saws. Lesson learned.

Makita for carpentry, Milwaukee for everything else.

Ryobi for funsies.

Also, you don't need a table saw. You can purchase a track saw instead.
