To my understanding a case can be compatible with wireless charging and also not have a mag ring.


IIRC the magnet just makes things more convenient since it affixes it to the optimal charging position/makes it compatible with variety of magsafe accessories/etc.

Just a little tidbit. I bought a case from pelican which warranty is though case mate. They will not honor the warranty because woot isn't an official dealer

sayings its compatible with wireless charging is not in anyway hinting its got magsafe
