Just keep in mind the one small drawback of this is that they are only for fixed size labels. There is no option to use roll tape that prints longer labels when needed. It's not a big deal for most people but just something to consider. I got a similar item that does have the option to use roll tape, you just have to read the description.

Is this proprietary like the last label maker everyone was mentioning? Anyone used this one before?

Is this a thermal printer?
Never mind, it is.

I don't want more PFOAs.

A cartridge printer like P-touch I believe doesn't use the paper with PFAS. But I'm not sure if the ink itself is made of PFAS even if it is, it's much less than a paper that entirely coated with PFAS.

Decided to go ahead and bite for the price, I think the fixed size labels might actually work better for me than the brother tape, helps not worry about OCD cutting it at a perfect angle and less of the tape waste you get with most label makers

I like these quite a bit. I have a couple different sizes in this brand I use this one the most. Mainly for labeling food, packages and clear containers. I like it better than the brother P touch. I think the labels look a little cleaner, and you can change the font. I picked up another one at this price. I couldn't get the coupon to work on the black one, but it still worked on the white.
