I've tried the different BIOS revisions that "fix" the issue to no avail. I also reached out to Support about it, which was seemingly ignored. The only fix I can confirm works, albeit only temporarily, is to artificial create a load on the cpu (e.g. cpu stress test) and then immediately cancel it once the fan speed fixes itself and drops down to normal. Sometimes it fixes it for days, sometimes only minutes. I use headphones most of the time so the loudness of the fan doesn't bother me too much, but the unnecessary wear and tear on the fan is not ideal.

I love to tinker... and I had my heart set on a AI 9 370 for some time but I gave in to reason and I ended up purchasing the Firebat A5P which was a 7845hs (780m GPU and not a 890m like in the 370) 16GB of RAM and 512GB hd for $234. I am planning on upgrading the hard drive.... had my heart set to a 4TB but I think I will get a 2TB since that should be fine for my needs. I download lots of games and switch 2 emulations... I am sure I will fill up my 2 TB but I wlll just have to choice what I want rather then have everything. In reality, the game play will be very similar to the AI 370 (this will get about 3 - 5 frames more... not enough to justify the price).
I paid $234 for my system and I am pretty impressed. BUT I HAVE LEARNED a few things.
If you want the best... you should look at the LP1 and LP2 wattage usage for the system you are about to buy. My firebat is throttled but some mini systems are not. But in real life usage, this does not mean much... it is more about game play... small bursts of speed to perform a task.
Use chatgpt to learn about LP1 and LP2 wattages and what it means.
