UPDATE: The code was still working as of Oct. 18 (a day after it was supposed to end), so worth giving it a try if you're still interested! Thanks to Pennyb for the heads up!

Hallmark Plus [hallmarkplus.com] is offering half off an annual subscription right now. Normal rate is $79.99, get it for $39.99 with code CTC50. Offer ends 10/17/25.

If anyone knows of credit cards offering cashback to sweeten the deal, please share! I didn't see anything for it on my Amex card.

Here's a link to the Facebook ad [facebook.com] showing the offer code if you're curious.

FWIW, I was looking at our local public library's website (Austin, TX) and discovered that they're signed up with a digital streaming service called Hoopla. Amongst other offers, I noticed that Hoopla lets you do weekly subscriptions to Hallmark+. You have to renew once a week but that takes five seconds once you've signed up. I have no idea what other libraries may offer, so YMMV.

This is a great option, but people are reporting they can't watch the Hoopla Hallmark bingepass via the hoopla app on a streaming device or via the hallmark app. If you want hassle-free viewing on a tv screen, a subscription works better for some. I'm trying the Hoopla bingepass out right now, and it seems I can cast from my Windows laptop web browser to my Roku. Others have said they can't cast from a device to their tv, so it's probably very specific what device you're casting to and from. Some don't want to do that even if they have a setup that casts, and at $3.33 a month, that's definitely not much if you're someone who watches often and is willing to pay a small bit for convenience.

As an aside, I also don't know yet if the hoopla deal holds my place. When the bingepass ends and you renew, does it pick up where you left off in a series? or in the middle of an episode/movie? will it save your watchlist? Or does it go clean slate? Again, if you're very budget concious, it might be worth it to mess with all that even if you watched a lot. But otherwise, this price to give yourself a treat aint bad.

Thank you and repped! I currently subscribe to Hallmark+ via Prime as a channel subscription. Sorry in advance if this seems like a stupid question but if I cancel my subscription on Amazon, how do I watch this one? Technology is not my strong suit
Thanks!

Does anyone know of any extended free trial codes? I believe in the past they had long (1) or (2) month free trials? Hoping that something like that comes along again

Do you watch your Amazon prime video in an app on a streaming device (like a roku, or smart tv, or chromecast, etc)? Same thing here, you download the hallmark plus app on whatever device it is you use. You can also get the app for a tablet, etc. Or if you prefer to watch on a computer, just go to the hallmark plus website, login, and watch.

I would go ahead and create the hallmark plus account on a computer, sign up for annual membership, make sure to enter the code before paying. Then use that same login information for the account you just set up with the hallmark plus app on your tv/roku/whatever it is you have.

Unfortunately, many libraries across the US are cancelling hoopla due to it being a pay as you use service. They pay $5 on average per checkout

Interesting - I didn't know any of this and it might make this a more compelling deal. The wife uses a computer that's connected to the bedroom tv for her viewing, so no messing around with casting / apps or any other nonsense.
From what she said, you still create an account on Hallmark+ so everything is saved. When your week runs out, Hallmark+ asks for a token, you go to Hoopla, renew you subscription, and you're back on Hallmark+ right where you were. At least that's what she told me happens.

I'm trying out the bingepass to see if it's enough for me with my limited hallmark use, or if I want this 50% offer. And Hoopla didn't have me create an account at hallmark plus, it just took me there. As far as I can tell, there's no way I can go to hallmark plus and just login, I have to go to hoopla, pick the bingepass from My Hoopla loans, click, and it opens Hallmark plus. Seems to be auto logged in through, can't find acct info. That doesn't mean it's not there, but I can't see it. I guess I'm asking, if you know how to login to hallmark plus while using this hoopla bingepass, let me know. That might let me login to the hallmark plus app. But from what I can tell, I can't do that. It's a bit of a hassle to cast from the laptop, but not terrible.

The only thing better I've seen would be a deal for 2-3 months. Well, it's not exactly better since it's apples and oranges (a couple months vs a year), but it's better if you only want Christmas movies and not an annual sub.

If you only want a couple months and don't mind if it may not come until Nov or sometime in Dec., waiting will probably get you a deal on a monthly sub. Amazon often has it for like .99-$1.99 a month for a couple months at some point during the holiday season when they offer a slew of channels at low rates. Not sure if their sales on Channels subscriptions always includes Hallmark Plus, but I know I've gotten monthly deals on it a couple times on Amazon.

Thanks for your help. I usually grab the prime video 1 to 3 month deals for my sister. She enjoys their holiday content. I did a quick search before asking my question and the only past deals I could find were the amazon deals you mentioned. I guess I need to ask her if she would watch it on a regular basis before grabbing this $40 deal.

Yesterday was the last day, it's expired. You may want to ask her if she'd want it in case it comes back around for BF.

Good tip, not sure anyone will notice now the deal's expired, but I know I always go down to the most recent entry in a post I'm interested to see if expired or previously out-of-stock deals are available.
