China stuffs are cheap not (at least mostly not) because of their labor. It's the manufacturing industry being so powerful (I.e. the machines and automation) and the transportation and supply chain being so advanced (infrastructure).

1. I have some business ordering stuff from Shenzhen. America made stuff is run by high school graduates or veterans who has no idea what we are asking for nor can remotely meet our qualifications and want $100 per hour. Our Chinese partners are full of Ivy League level engineers same for $100/hr that produce best solutions in the entire world.

2. My ordering of 1000 pieces of equipments are manufactured in Shenzhen and processed in Shanghai within 2 days including transportation. Almost same distance from shore to shore. American truckers can't even deliver anything from Elpaso to Houston within that time frame.

3. China doesn't have much resources. They import the majority of them and manufacture and export.

4. Electric stuff is a "stand out" that China really leads the world by a large margin. I as in the industry trust literally any random Chinese car more than Toyota. Any $10k new cars in China beat these $50k shit boxes we buy here by a large margin on quality, longevity, comfort, and everything. The best selling Toyota rav4 is just a joke in China's market.

What is going on is that China has a glut of these. That does not equate to a scam but prices on some bikes 50% or more off what they were just a short while ago. You can buy the same on amazon or walmart but it will be more.

Thanks for all the replies folks. I stand down and agree the price offerings in china make sense. I take fault and need to open my eyes to other markets. I was skeptical on the price, I'm used to seeing $500++

Lots of good points others put out there. and I do agree Thanks

Does anyone have a guess on what the bike might weigh?
Yes I would be fairly confident it weighs close to 50lbs based on similar eBikes

There is a reason to prefer a little less power and weight in the e-bike setups...

Easier on the small brakes, cheaper small tires, easier to fold and take, fewer reasons to look for upgrades, no chance of PoPo interactions.

I'm intrigued by this style in my hunt for my first ebike. Like the bigger faster ones more, but worth pondering this size?
Whatever you decide to do, do not get a bike with cheap battery. Look for the ones with LG, Panasonic, or Samsung batteries.

This looks like the GLeeride A9 i just bought (and has been available on Ali via SD for $250 shipped) but a smaller motor and 1/2 the size of battery. I think you might get max 10 miles out of this one, so beware.

Typical Chinese stuff like this.

Shall we check Amazon vs this Ali site?

I found below

$195
https://www.amazon.com/Winado-Ele...0zrBG&th=1

$240
https://www.amazon.com/Rideplux-E...0zrBG&th=1

for less than 200 it might be ok even it last for couple years but
I don't want to compromise life safety with poor quality products those we can often find in

China may not want your bike indoors for safety considerations but we are finding that all the people that dove in and bought EVs not made in China may want to do the same. China may may not want them indoors but they are making them readily and easily available to their population.

There is no safety in the world there is just trade offs. The stove you cook on is one of the leading causes of fires and I do not know about you but I do not want mine outside. Me and the kids will just have to take the risk.

The furnace that keeps you warm can kill you as can your AC unit. People are killed by hot water heaters with some regularity. Things as simple an alkaline AAA can burn you house down. Cellphones and computers are one of the leading causes of electric fires. You driving puts yourself and us all at great risk.

If the best you can do against ebikes is the Chicken Little dance routine you may not have a point. Your attitude is one of the reasons that we can not make stuff here as the ultimate and complete safety crowd want something that is not theoretically possible within the laws of the universe. You can't make a totally safe regular bike any more than you can a ebike, a car or plane be safe. Cars, homes and planes catch fire and I am sure you do not shun them opr want them outlawed.

Please think about how to weigh risk sensibly and do not use safety as cudgel just as you may not want or like something.
The Chinese government doesn't trust their own e-bikes enough to let their people to charge and store them indoors — and they made them. But you're feeling confident because you snagged a sweet deal online?

That's some next-level optimism. Respect. 😂

Any body is like me getting tired of going through comments to learn useful info about the deal, the product and real life user experience but only feel overwhelmly swamped by China/US/Aliexpress manufacturing and exporting/importing analysis.

Please make slickdeals great again!

By the way, what should i do if i cant afford US made bike and dont wanna buy Chinese stuff? Delete slick deals? 😅

Not optimism, real life experience which shows me no reason to do the Chicken Little dance routine.

I have been using China products with batteries for three or four decades now and have never had an explosion of fire. I have three low end china ebikes and they to have been explosion and fire free. My low end Ryobi tools never exploded and neither have the Dewalts that also are built in China.y undetsbdingit is no the cchina parts that cuase the tesla fires

China does not specifically say china made ebikes should not be indoors but that any ebike should be not indoors just like the US does in many jurisdictions. It does not matter if it is cheap or expensive.

The $5000 ebike makers also say do not store indoors and I guess we if we follow your fuzzy logic we must assume they know their products to be junk and defective.

Our governments at the federal and state level feel the same about full sized EVs that they recommended people buy. People are parking in their garages and it is causing fires and death on occasion. If we follow your thought process we must class Teslas, Toyotas, GM and Nissans dangerous junk. We can also throw in all gas vehicles that not only have the chance of fire but explosion.

You do point to one reason that the US is failing in the global market which is US consumers are such safety ninnies. Of course batteries are a risk of fire. Even AAA alkaline have caused houses to burn down. You car is risk be it gas or EV to yourself your family and others. Your house and life is full of stuff that can kill you, like your stove, AC unit, hot water heater, vinyl siding or furnace. Yet people accept that risk but inflate fear about something they might not particular like or have pet peeve about.

Your cell phone and computer are one of the leading causes of house fires and I am pretty sure you will continue to take the risk. It doesn't mean that the cellphone or computer are junk and particularly unsafe it is just fact nature that electrical components use electricity which can cause fires.

If any danger is the test I guess man has to go back and give up on fire so you feel comfy and safe

"made in China"
Both the AliExpress & Amazon ebikes are made in China. The Amazon ones, with higher prices, actually have lower battery capacity 280 Wh & 360 Wh. The AliExpress is 48v x 10A = 480 Wh, or 48V x 12A = 576 Wh by some photos. Amazon is close to a monopoly online reseller in the U.S. so its higher prices are becoming more noticeable if you shop vs other online retailers.
