Lots and lots of "caught on fire" photos in the Amazon reviews. All burned up and can't tell whether it was this model or the one without the digital display... but either way it is concerning.

I scrolled through the reviews on Amazon and only found the 10 port USB A version having "melted" pictures. I've owned the 10-port USB A version since 2014, used daily, and anecdotally had zero issues with it.
I purchased this 8-Port USB C and USB A version in May of 2025 and it's been in use 24/7 with zero issues - other than the common display mode complaints. Weird decision to default to a useless logo, etc...
One of the biggest reasons I picked up the 8-Port version was the way it negotiates charge. Most USB C chargers with more than one port will fully reset all ports when one is plugged in. This is usually a non-issue, unless you want to run something like a Raspberry Pi, or portable monitor, etc... This USB charger doesn't reset other ports when plugging something else in.
Have been using mine daily ever since the last deal, which was 7 dollars more than this price. Replaced a whole bunch of charging bricks with it. Can highly recommend.

The PFC circuit can occasionally go into "crazy mode," randomly turning on and off, which can create a long-term issue. Turning the device off and on usually fixes it
The charger handles heat well, getting hot but effectively venting heat through side opening.

In for another one at $60. No-brainer for me.
