I've bought these plates several times over the last few years. They're excellent for the price. I admit, I dont drop my barbell's from chest high onto the floor. But do drop them from knee height fairly often and they do just fine. They're the same quality as my Signature and CAP brand plates.

For a value brand these are fine. Purchased a couple sets for a work place gym, they get a fair amount of abuse and are holding up okay. If you want the matching 10's they are thin and won't be the best thing to throw on the bar alone. Day 1 smell can be a little strong but dissipates a few weeks. We had a single 45 that developed a split shortly after delivery. Walmart made the exchange pretty easy. Only minor issue is when breaking them in you might see some "shedding" but after a few weeks that mostly stopped and was really only noticeable because of the bright colors showing up against the dark black gym floor mats.
