Thank god they've gotten rid of the all glass fronts they used to use. I had an Omen 35L I believe it was with a 3080 and that thing was an overheating piece of junk.

I always look at these prebuilts compared to the price I could build off newegg, since building takes an hour of labor max.
NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5070 - $580
AMD Ryzen 7 8700F - $190
Motherboard (chose Gigabite AMD model) - $130
32GB DDR5 - $120
850 Watt Power Supply - $100
Case - $60
1TB SSD - $60
Total: $1,240
I realize you might need a few more things, but that's the bulk of the components. The most expensive being the video card. I put no value on Windows 11, would just run Linux. I don't buy into any AI stuff they're advertising. Decent deal if you don't want to build, but i wouldn't go as far as saying "slick". I'd rather pick my own components and get the same thing, not have to deal with proprietary manufacture limitations on ram, room, etc.
Plus "Open Box", I put value on "New" unused components, as more than likely they'll last longer starting with 0 hours versus an unknown. I would also go Intel if I am choosing. But if you value Windows 11, you could add $11 (current price on Groupon through Microsoft Certified Reseller, lifetime license 64-bit pro or home).

Subtract $80 since the 5070 in this won't be an FE and you can buy an AIB 5070 for $500 pretty consistently now.
And subtract at least another $30 because you don't need to spend $100 for an 850w gold PSU https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sKPvBq
So $1130 to DIY with brand new and probably better components vs rough open box with a gimped warranty (1 year, max).
