Spain's largest olive oil cooperative, Dcoop, has been accused of selling blends of rapeseed oil and olive oil in the United States under its Pompeian brand, with less than one percent of the blend being actual extra virgin olive oil.

I bought some of these about a month ago and they were within 60 days of expiration. Just a warning to consider before stocking up.
Great price!

This is the lowest quality olive oil you can buy. Crappy product.

camelcamelcamel shows the 32 oz hovering at or a little under $12.97 for the past 6 months. $6.61 is solid - costs about the same as Aldi's Carlini brand for double the volume. Thanks!

Supposedly one country of origin is ideal. This has 11.
"A high-quality olive oil is extra virgin, meaning it was cold-pressed without chemicals, resulting in a low acidity and high polyphenol content. Look for a recent harvest date, the location of the olives, and a dark glass bottle to protect the oil from light. Third-party certifications can provide further assurance of quality and authenticity."

I'd stay away from this company's product base on the ongoing lawsuits they have with false labeling. They may be cheaper for a reason.

It's almost definitely not extra virgin. Olives come from all over the place, no way to verify if it's actually EVOO. Pompeian consistently scores low on quality ratings.
