off grid solar, house batteries for rv, camper, boat. If you've got 12 V devices you can run that directly from the battery without any inverter which is nice.
I have a power station but its internal battery is a 48 V, so when I run 12 V things you lose some efficiency stepping it down to 12 V. I also have a 12 V battery and I'll just often run those device devices directly from the battery and I get much more run time per ah of battery.

Lol. These were NEVER $1,055. These "sale" prices are ridiculous. Like it's still a good deal. I bought two of these at ~$300 each last year and love them, but please they need to stop saying they're marking it down 75%!

No. These are NOT starter batteries. That isn't how it works.

can I use this and a couple panels to charge my car a little bit here and there? 3kw is pretty good for a battery. thats like 4% charge. that would be great every couple days.
You mean 3kwh? Yes, this battery holds about that. But you need an inverter to get the power into your car. And a lot of solar to keep up.

Can only order 1 though, which doesnt work for my setup.
You can make a few orders of 1 battery each (I did this with two different email accounts).

Right! It is more than 3kWh and can do the tax credit if used for home battery storage. The 280Ah threw me off
Oh wow, thanks for pointing that out. I already installed solar at my house a few years back and didn't think I would qualify for subsequent credits, but it looks like I can add on battery storage and get another credit if I can get it in place by the end of December. That makes it a crazy deal. Repped!

None of the codes worked for me.
Edit: Nevermind, code worked.

can i replace this battery with my current 12v on my chevy Silverado?
No... This is for power storage and battery back for basic electrical devices. It doesn't supply the amperage to start a vehicle. It is rated at 200A. Most vehicles require at least 400 amps to start, your truck is likely 6-700. Lead acid is still better for that purpose. It also likely would not fit.

How would these work if I bought 3 for a 36v golf cart?
Depends on the amperage your gold cart pulls. Three in series would be 36v, but will be limited to 200 amp output. If your cart doesn't draw more than 200 amps, these would rock. You would save a ton of weight over lead acid, have almost twice the useable energy and they would charge much faster. Just be aware you would need a 36v lithium charger to fully take advantage of the charging rate and capacity (lead acid chargers cut out at a lower voltage and charge slower- they would work, but will take longer and stop charging before the battery is full)

36v x 200amps

7200 watts

Most golf carts peak way below this ... I would also check to see if you could convert to 48v .... 48v is just better tbh if you have the space and tbh it's likely your controller can be set to run on 48v.. Either way, it should work fine.. just be sure to get the lithium charger imo.

This price point is genuinely getting pretty "cheap" for something so out of the box ... My 2023 model 3 uses a ~60kwh LFP battery pack and after 21k miles .. i started with 272 miles of "max range" and now i'm sitting at 266 ... From what i've seen on the rest of the fleet, the lfp seems to be holding capcity way better than "normal" li-ion packs.

4 of these would be 14.3kwh for ~926 dollars. $3702 for 57kWh

I guess people weren't lyiing when they said the cost of LFP packs would come down.. This is genuinely pretty amzing that you can buy off the shelf LFP and be under 4k for a 60kwh pack.. and they still should be coming down in coming years.

Kinda blows my mind that you could potentially build a battery pack for an EV that will go ~300 miles on a charge for less than $4k with off the shelf parts, not even bargain hunting really except "look at slickdeals."

I wonder what the cost of these will be in another 3-5 years..

I'm not going to talk about the car as a whole, but my experience with lfp batteries over time so far has been nothing short of impressed.

Usually 200W solar panel has ~21V Voc, and ~10A on the current, 100W will have similar Voc, but with less current. However, you will need to check your panels to be safe. Assuming you are getting 2 of 200W or 100W panels with the spec above in series, you can use Victron 75/10 MPPT solar charge controller (and get the one with Bluetooth). By default, Victron has "charger enabled" turned on, and the voltage is 12V. If you are wiring the batteries in series (24V), do not connect the battery first. You will need to first connect the Victron to the solar panels, and wait for sunlight. Then you can connect to the unit and change the settings. Make sure you change the following settings: set "charger enabled" to off, battery voltage to 24v, & battery presets to Victron lifepo4 (it is not optimal, but this can be adjusted later on). Once this is set, you can safely add 24V batteries to the controller (add 48v DC circuit breakers to prevent spark on battery & solar input). Lastly, once the batteries are connected, go back to the settings and enable the "charger enabled". If you are not going to add any solar panels any time soon, get the smallest spec for the charge controller that matches your panels. You can always get a bigger capacity charge controller to add more solar panel, but in my experience, you won't get the same /similar spec solar panel when you buy later on, and you will end up losing the maximum capacity of the controller (and waste your money). Each brand & type of solar panel should only be wired to one charge controller, unless the spec are very close (+/- 1% tolerance on the Voc).
Volatile organic compounds? Megapixels per terawatt? I'm an Electronics guy for nearly 50 years, and even I don't recognize a lot of the jargon in your post, although I would like to :-)

Does anyone know if this would be appropriate for a small boat motor?

LOL! Open circuit voltage, and maximum power point tracking, but yeah...
